Suggestions to Help Your Child in Math

Make an effort to help your child have a good attitude toward math. Let them know you are proud of their work.

Ask your child to show you papers and assignments every day and praise all efforts and progress. Ask them to talk about what they did and listen to what they are saying about what they understand.

Talk about the math you do in your everyday life at home and your job to show how it is related it to what your child is learning in school.

Help make math as enjoyable as you would reading a story or watching a show on television. Play math games, work puzzles and involve the whole family.
