The construction at Hopewell High School is complete, but that does not mean that the school division is finished making improvements to their facilities. The school division just completed an $180,000 renovation of the new “Parrot Café” at Woodlawn Learning Center.

“Wow. It’s like a breath of fresh air,” said Principal Belinda Piercy. “They did a really great job. It’s very child friendly, and I think it is going to be a fun surprise for our students and their parents when they come back to school.”
The project is about more than just aesthetics though. The school replaced old windows and added energy-efficient air conditioners as well.

The fifteen-day project was completed on June 30th, and the café is ready for a new group of the division’s youngest students to enjoy when school starts back up in the fall.
