Communications
Hopewell City Public Schools wants to keep you informed and alerted to important information! We use several different ways to communicate with families and interested citizens.
Automated calls, texts, and emails: Hopewell City Public Schools provides both division-wide and individual school mass notification service via automated calls, texts, and emails. These messages are communicated to the families of registered students as well as employees. If you are a parent/guardian of a registered student or an employee that is not currently receiving messages, please contact your child's school and update your contact information on your child's registration form.
Automated calls, text messages, and emails can be sent to two primary contacts.
Social Media: Hopewell City Public Schools also distributes information and updates through social media, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. Links to each can be found on the Hopewell City Public Schools division homepage.
Applications for your mobile device:
Remind: The Remind app is a two way texting app that both schools and teachers use to share information with parents. Parents are able to respond to and text teachers using this app. For more information, please contact your child's school.
General Announcements: The SchoolMessenger app allows you to set preferences and keep track of communications from the school division, specific schools and individual teachers who use SchoolMessenger. Search for “SchoolMessenger” wherever you download apps, or visit the website https://go.
- Review the last 30 days’ worth of messages from the school system or your student(s) schools.
- View your contact information and set preferences for how you would like to receive notifications.
- Receive classroom communications if your child’s teacher uses SchoolMessenger.
Buses: To stay updated on bus schedules, changes, and delays, use The Edulog Parent Portal Life App. With this app parents will be notified when a bus is late as well as see the location of the bus. Information in the app can be customized to be specific to your child's bus number. We encourage all families to download this app. To use this app:
- In your app store, search for and download the Edulog Parent Portal Lite app
- Sign up, create, and validate your account
- Under 'Districts' enter the District Code (32048663)
- Select your child's route
- Under the 'Settings' tab, enable notifications so you never miss a bus status message
School websites: Each of our schools and program centers has its own website, updated by a web editor based at the school. School websites typically post updates that are intended specifically for students and families of that school. You can find your school’s website in the "Select School" dropdown located at the top of this page.
Thank you again for your interest in promoting all the great things that happen around our school division every single day.
