Parent Resource Center

What is the PRC?

The Hopewell City Public Schools Department of Student Services established the Parent Resource Center (PRC) as a source of information, support and training for parents, students, teachers, staff and community members.  The PRC encourages and promotes a working relationship between parents, educators and the community.

The goal of the PRC is to assist parents in participating more fully and effectively in their child’s educational development.  The PRC serves as an addition support system as parents seek to become more active participants in the special education process.

What can the PRC do for me?

  • Promote a working relationship between home and school,
  • Educate parents about the special education process, including laws and regulations,
  • Consult with and guide parents on educational issues,
  • Link parents to appropriate service providers and agencies,
  • Maintain and update an extensive lending library, and
  • Offer free workshops throughout the school year.

You are encouraged to visit the PRC.

Parents please click the flyer at the bottom of this page for more information regarding an internet offer from Comcast.

Also found at the bottom of this page are the current editions of the Home and School Connection Newsletter for both parents and their children.
