Title IX
TITLE IX
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex/gender in any educational program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. Title IX ensures that students, employees, and community members are protected from discrimination, harassment, and violence, fostering an educational environment where all individuals have equal access to educational opportunities and resources.
TRAINING
To maintain a safe and inclusive environment, all employees are required to complete annual training on Title IX guidelines, reporting obligations, and procedures for handling reports. This training equips staff with the knowledge and tools needed to recognize and respond appropriately to Title IX issues, helping us all create a respectful and supportive school community.
REPORTING
A report of sexual harassment should be submitted to the site Title IX Coordinator using the ‘Report of Harassment’ form, or it can be reported verbally to the site Title IX Coordinator.
In compliance with Title IX, all school employees have an obligation to report any known or suspected incidents of sex-based discrimination, harassment, or violence. Employees should
immediately notify the designated site Title IX Coordinator, who will follow up on reports and ensure that each case is handled in a respectful, confidential, and thorough manner to support affected individuals and uphold federal regulations.
For more information about Title IX policies and reporting, please contact the Division Title IX Coordinators.
