The City of Hopewell consists of 11 square miles and is located where the Appomattox and James rivers meet.  Hopewell is located 24 miles southeast of Virginia’s capital of Richmond and is readily accessible by both I-295 and I-95. Washington, D.C. is 132 miles to the north and the Port of Hampton Roads is 75 miles to the southeast.

 

Hopewell City Public Schools has more than 600 employees who serve more than 4,300 students.  Our goal is to hire educators who are creative and dedicated to the belief that all children can learn and be successful.
