Congratulations to the Hopewell High School Marching Blue Devils for winning 7 trophies this weekend at the Greensville County High School Marching Classic in Emporia, VA. They competed in the Single-A Band Division against the Meadowbrook High School and Norview High School marching bands.
The Band won 1st Place trophies for Overall Band, Music, Flags, Drum major, Majorettes and Percussion. This is the band's 8th time winning 1st Place Overall Band in Class A. Also, the band placed 2nd overall in the competition out of all of the bands competing. Please congratulate the band members and Mr. Pierce for a job well done!! Also, a special shoutout goes to Ms. Griffin (HHS teacher) and Ms. Short (HHS guidance counselor) for traveling down to Emporia to support the band program! #hopewellmagic
