COVID-19 Update

Dear Hopewell Families,

We want to continue to keep you informed when we have a positive COVID case in one of our buildings so that you can be as informed as possible for your health and safety.

Today we have learned of a Woodlawn Learning Center (WLC) staff member testing positive for COVID.  This individual is in quarantine and has not been at school since October 20th.  We have completed the contact tracing process to identify any additional individuals and have notified them directly.  We have also recently expanded our procedures to identify individuals who are not required to quarantine by VDH standards but who we believe should also quarantine as an extra precaution, and any of those individuals have also been notified.

We encourage anyone who interacted with WLC staff early last week to monitor their symptoms and reach out to their primary care provider if they have any concerns.  Individuals can also contact the Crater Health District's COVID-19 hotline at 804-862-8989.  If any individuals are identified through the contact tracing process, they will be contacted directly by the health department.

The health and safety of our students, staff, families, and community is our top priority.  We continue to work in close collaboration with Hopewell City and the health department to serve the well-being of the Hopewell community.  Please keep the health of these individuals and our community in your thoughts.  If you have any questions, please let us know.
