Clinics for Students to Receive Required Immunizations

Hi Hopewell City Public Schools families,

A reminder that there are new immunization requirements for incoming students. They are as follows:

Rising K:
If your child is starting Kindergarten, two (2) properly spaced doses of the hepatitis A vaccine (HAV) are required. The first dose should be administered at age 12 months or older.

Rising 7th:
If your child is starting seventh (7th) grade, the first dose of meningococcal vaccine (MenACWY), human papillomavirus (HPV) and the booster dose for Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis vaccine (TDap) are required.

Rising 12th:
If your child is starting the twelfth (12th) grade, one dose of the meningococcal vaccine (MenACWY) given at age 16 or older is required. If a rising 12th-grade student has already received a dose of the meningococcal vaccine (MenACWY) at age 11, the student is required to receive a second dose at age 16 or older.
