Woodlawn Learning Center Update

The following message was shared with Woodlawn Learning Center Community: Good morning Woodlawn families. This morning before student arrival, there was a small electrical fire in one of the heating units in the cafeteria. It was quickly extinguished and the fire department was called and immediately responded. As of 9:20am the fire department said the school was safe to open and operate normally for the day.

While there is no smoke or other risk remaining, there is an unpleasant odor in the cafeteria from the burnt wires so we will not be having students in the cafeteria today. Instead, students will eat breakfast and lunch in the classrooms and a different doorway will be used for arrival and dismissal for car riders.
