Hopewell High School Applesauce Update

We have investigated the spoiled applesauce that was posted on Friday. The applesauce had recently been received but there was some liquid in the box of applesauce cups, which meant some of the packaging had been broken. One cup had been discarded because it was broken and it was thought to be the only one. Apparently, the seal of the cup in the picture had been broken enough to let air in and spoil the product and we missed that.

We sincerely apologize that this occurred last week. Our employees are paying extra attention to these products as they are preparing to serve meals to ensure the seal is fully intact.
