Hopewell’s first-ever "Paddle in Your Park" event at City Park with RVA Paddlesports, Beyond Boundaries, Boys to Men Mentoring, FOLAR and Hopewell Recreation Parks! Please share widely with the HCPS community! We want to invite HCPS' students and families to participate on Saturday, May 6th from 1-4pm at Hopewell City Park where community members will learn about paddlesports and the Appomattox River. We will have kayaks, SUPS, & rafts for people to try out as well as a food truck, vendors and music. The ART on the Appomattox River Trail (ART) project will also be celebrating the installation of a new Sturgeon Sculpture at City Park. If you have your own vessel, you are welcome to bring it but please let our experts direct you so that we don't have a traffic jam!
