HCPS Kicks Off Campaign to Support Hurricane Harvey Victims

On Monday September 18, HCPS is launching #HopewellCARES to help support those impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

Hurricane Harvey hit Texas on August 25th was a Category 4 storm that made landfall three separate times in six days and left 250,000 people without power.

Hurricane Harvey wreaked havoc on the Houston School System, which is the largest school system in Texas.  All of the schools in this district sustained damage from the hurricane but schools have since re-opened.

"Helping others in need is not only a responsibility of life; it is what gives meaning to life."

We are asking each student, staff member, and members of the community to give at least $1 to support our fellow Americans. Donations may be given to your child's teacher or by clicking the link provided below! We appreciate any contribution made to this worthwhile cause.

Also check out our video on the homepage to learn more about this project and hear a story from one of our own HCPS staff members who was impacted by Hurricane Katrina, a story that will remind you that any donation goes a long way to help others.
