Students from New Hope Academy had the opportunity to attend the Dominion Power and The Library of Virginia's Strong Men and Strong Women in Virginia History program, celebrating Black History Month.
The event was held at the Richmond Marriott. One aspect of the program highlights high school essay contest winners from the four regions of the state of Virginia. The second portion of the program is dedicated to African Americans whose work and contributions have made great strides and have impacted our society in Virginia's history.
