This past month, 93 8th graders at Carter G Woodson middle school competed for a $500 scholarship by participating in the Optimist Club Oratorical contest. There were 17 finalists and two winners. Congratulations to JT Tyson, and Eleysia Bell who won $500 scholarships from the Hopewell Optimist Club.
