First graders at Patrick Copeland took their study of matter to the next level. The You Matter kits included homemade play-doh, bubbles, chalk, slime and get well cards. The students then took a field trip to Krispy Kreme to see how donuts were made before heading to the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation. 1st graders discussed empathy while making get well cards and helped organize snack donations before presenting their kits.
