Carter G. Woodson's winter exhibition was filled with a night of awards and recognition. The American Legion presented awards for essay contest winners, 1st place - Michaela Ambrose, 2nd place - Jasmin Benson, 3rd place - Taylor Parr. The essay was entitled, "I like living in America because..." and students and their teacher were awarded monetary prizes. Morgan Hardy was selected by the Lion's Club as the state winner of the Peace Poster Contest. Her poster will move on to the international competition. Student projects and an escape room were also highlights of the night.
