James River Ball Teacher Grant Recipients

The James River Ball Patrons Committee mission is to bring the arts to children in Hopewell City Public Schools through live theatre, musical performances, digital, literary, media and art workshops. Most recently JRBPC developed a teacher grant for Hopewell City Public Schools' teachers to enhance the education of HCPS students in these areas.  The following teachers have received the grant for their schools.

Psychologists

Honoring HCPS School Psychologists

During the week of November 3-7, the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and schools across the United States will celebrate the 2025 National School Psychology Week (NSPW). This week celebrates the contributions of school psychologists and the important role they play in schools and communities. NSPW is an annual opportunity to recognize school psychologists' work to help children thrive in school, at home, and in life. This year's theme, "Finding Your Path," reflects the ways that school psychologists help students, families, and school communities set and achieve their goals. Join us by taking this week to chart your course to explore how each person can celebrate the work of school psychologists and learn how school psychologists make a difference every day.

The Finance Departments Honors Ashley Tubbs

The Finance Department honored Ashley Tubbs for her hard work and dedication. Since May, she has carried the full weight of payroll on her own after a coworker got sick. Ashley has consistently made sure every staff member was paid on time. We appreciate her excellence and commitment to our team.
