Assessment

Hopewell City Public Schools performs a number of both standardized and informal assessments to monitor student growth and performance.  The Standards of Learning, or SOLs, are the Virginia Department of Education's (VDOE) measure of student performance.  The SOLs are given annually.  Hopewell City Public Schools is a fully accredited school division.  Our curricula prepare students to excel.
