Dear HCPS Families and Staff:

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, as we have found it necessary to reconsider our earlier decision to remain open next Tuesday, April 21, 2026.  With Virginia having a special election that day, our school buildings routinely serve as community polling sites. 

While we were originally confident in our decision to remain open and navigate this safely, we have decided to err on the side of caution and close.  Again, we ask for your grace and understanding with this late notice.  We simply want to keep the safety of our students and staff always at the forefront of our decisions and are sorry for the impact this later decision may have on our families.  We appreciate your support!
